Regional committees

This autumn, the Regional Committee of Lanaudière held a Casino evening with the profits donated to La Maison Clémentine, a temporary shelter offering respite and emergency services for families who take care of persons with an intellectual or sensory-motor impairment. During this first initiative, $2000 was raised and presented by Jean Darveau to Maryse Desjarlais, Director of La Maison Clémentine, accompanied by Julie Turenne, Special Educator. Also on hand were Claude Galarneau and Pierre Leduc Jr., respectively Chairman and Secretary-Treasurer of the Regional Committee of Lanaudière.
On February 18 of this year, the Montérégie-Roussillon Regional Committee organized a training session attended by 50 brokers from the region. The session Responsabilité civile des entreprises (public liability for companies), given by AXA, was so popular that the Committee was obliged to turn down would-be participants.
The Regional Committee of Granby organized its first cocktail party on February 20 at the Granby Zoo. The event attracted 120 persons: brokers and insurers combined.

Martin Roy, President of PMT Roy Assurances et services financiersBruno Fortin, of JG Fortin assurances, will be the official delegate for the RCCAQ on the CSIO Committee.
The firm of Pagé Matteau worked together with several insurers to consolidate the Code de déontologie des experts en sinistres (the claim adjusters’ professional code of ethics).
PMT Roy Assurances et services financiers held a blood donor clinic on February 12, attracting over 200 donors from the region.
Partners and suppliers

On February 28, Boomerang presented the new trends in vehicle theft protection at the Rizz de Laval. A pioneer in theft prevention, Boomerang took the opportunity to point out that the combined efforts of its partners had contributed to its success. After the presentation, a demonstration of a Boomerang Espion installation was held during a cocktail supper.
