The RCCAQ was created in 1973 under the name of the Fédération des courtiers d’assurance du Québec. On May 2, 1985, its name was changed to the the Regroupement des cabinets de courtage d’assurance du Québec.

Over the years, several chairpersons have contributed to the organization’s development and influence.
