The Chambre de l'assurance de dommages groups together 13,000 professionals from three professions in the damage insurance field: damage insurance agents, damage insurance brokers and adjusters.

One of its mandates is to see to the progress of the professional development service in regard to obligatory training and the obligations to which the ChAD certified professionals must conform.

Obligatory continued training is one of the conditions for renewing the certificates of all the members concerned by the Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services (Bill 188). In fact, unless he participates in training, a representative may not renew his certificate authorizing him to practice the profession of agent, broker or adjuster.
