Industry Outlook > Brokers and new technologies
According to the Centre for the Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO), the switch-to-digital rate among Quebec brokers is 71%. What could be standing in the way of firms adopting these tools?
According to the CSIO's report, fear of change and lack of time are slowing the adoption of new technologies, even though technological innovation opens up a world of opportunities to brokerages wishing to improve their client experience.
In a related article in the Journal de l'Assurance (french only), Jean Bilodeau, chair of the RCCAQ's technology committee, points out that technology facilitates a new type of client approach that may well make this investment profitable.
