To better understand the rules in condo insurance, Insurance Bureau of Canada has developed new tools for professionals, syndicate of co-owners and other stakeholders.
A new webpage has been created to bring together all the tools available to insurance professionals and stakeholders.
It contains the necessary information to know what to do, for example in the event of a loss where several situations may apply.
IBC has developed a decision tree on how to apply the articles 1074.1 and 1074.2 of the Civil Code for damage to the property insured by the syndicate.
Two blogs have also been produced on the same subject and deal with the options and remedies of the syndicate of co-owners in different situations:

IBC launched a second campaign targeting consumers this fall. The success of its spring campaign confirmed consumers' need for information on condo insurance and regulatory changes. While taking up the topics that have been successful, the current campaign also focuses on new contents relating to the syndicate of co-owners in a loss situation.
