On February 22, as part of a legal restructuring, Swiss Re Corporate announced the imminent opening of a new branch office of North American Speciality Insurance Company (NAS) in Canada.

In keeping with the company’s strategic growth approach, the opening of this new branch office is designed to reduce complexity and optimize capital productivity. Swiss Re Group continues to take the necessary steps to streamline the legal structure of its North American operations.

NAS’s new branch office should be up and running in the second half of 2022. This will also mean a name change for its Westport subsidiary, which will take effect once approved by the US regulatory organizations. The subsidiary’s new name will be Swiss Re Corporate Solutions America Insurance Corp.

For clients and business partners, these organizational changes will have no impact, so they will continue to benefit from Swiss Re Corporate Solutions’ collaboration and solid capital base, as well as its leadership in the area of risk awareness.
