The Coalition launches its 2022-2023 fundraising campaign!

posted on March 16, 2022

Two decades ago, the P&C insurance industry stood at the forefront in terms of awareness of workforce-related issues. In response, the Coalition pour une relève en assurance de dommages was created. This non-profit organization is tasked with promoting careers in the insurance sector, including the broker profession.

Today, succession issues are in the news for various reasons:

  • The unemployment rate is relatively low.
  • The aging population means that many people are retiring.
  • Certain markets are growing.
  • The digital transition is underway.

Supported by its network of over 50 partners, the Coalition is taking concerted action to support the industry amid the ongoing labour shortage.

Against that backdrop, attracting and training the next generation of insurance professionals is one of the Coalition’s top priorities. As noted by Robert LaGarde, the Coalition’s president and CEO, during the RCCAQ’s most recent annual convention, their team rolled out a pilot project in 2021 with a view to optimizing the work/study program included in the college-level insurance training program (AEC). Other projects of similar scope are sure to emerge in 2022.

However, to develop such successful projects requires the mobilization of all stakeholders! For that reason, the Coalition, as part of its 2022-2023 fundraising campaign, invites all firms in the insurance industry to join in and become a member of the organization.

Please note that during the 2021-2022 campaign, no fewer than 100 P&C insurance firms joined the Coalition!

In conjunction with the 2022-2023 campaign, the Coalition is calling on you once again to join forces in our bid to foster skills so the next generation is fully ready to take part in a dynamic and flourishing industry.
