RCCAQ in action > Broker/client communications: template letters raise questions
Intact insurance recently informed brokers that it had revised a portion of the content of the template letters that brokers use to contact clients at key moments in their relationship (e.g. when policies are issued or renewed or when contracts are transferred).
Following Intact's announcement, many RCCAQ members contacted us with various questions and concerns. A number of points were brought to our attention, particularly concerning brokers' ethical responsibilities towards their clients.
As a result, we contacted the insurer with a view to jointly working on potential solutions and ensuring that the tools made available to you will enable you to carry out your role with the greatest possible efficiency.
