On July 10, the Centre for Study of Insurance Operations (CSIO) announced it was setting up a national working group tasked with advancing the implementation of uniform data standards for commercial insurance lines within the brokerage network.

After having focused on the adoption of personal insurance standards, the CSIO is continuing its efforts to derive the same benefits for commercial insurance. These standards serve to improve the effectiveness of the work performed by brokers and insurers and adds value to the brokerage industry. The working group will be made up of representatives of insurers and brokers.
