Digital transition: the RCCAQ is awarded a grant by the MEI

posted on February 4, 2022

The RCCAQ’s digital transformation project “By and for brokers”, which was also the theme of our 2021 convention, will be seeing the light of day, thanks in part to the Quebec government’s financial support!

Under its Digital Transformation Offensive (OTN), the provincial Ministry of the Economy and Innovation awarded a $3.7 million grant to the RCCAQ last week in order to facilitate insurance brokerages’ digital transition across Quebec.

This financial support is primarily aimed at encouraging the digital transition within the insurance brokerage industry while also helping firms to get ready. It will also be used to:

  • Implement a digital solution designed to drive brokerage firms’ economic growth across Quebec.
  • Modernize the profession.
  • Stay competitive.
  • Improve the client experience.

Over the next few months, the RCCAQ will be focused on two main project phases:

  • A communications phase aimed at raising the awareness of brokerage firms (both RCCAQ members and non-members). Education campaigns will be rolled out province-wide in order to bring as many firms on board as possible.
  • The second phase will focus on planning and personalized assistance for brokerage firms rolling out specific high-tech solutions.
