RCCAQ membership also means direct contact with various government bodies. As part of our lobbying efforts, we defend your interests and discuss key issues of importance to you, from Bill 188 to replacement insurance and tax harmonization.

Since our activities are primarily focused on lobbying, we must have certain resources in place to defend your interests. Your RCCAQ membership and your commitment to our cause are key parts of our success. Here is an example of the RCCAQ's lobbying efforts:

DEFENDING YOUR INTERESTS - LOBBYING THE GOVERNMENT

• We organized the inaugural version of Parliament Hill Day on February 25 in Quebec City.
• We needed the assistance of a lobbying firm to ensure access to key decision makers.
• Various key meetings were held to strengthen ties with our members of the National Assembly:

o With MNA Nicolas Marceau, official opposition spokesperson for financial and revenue matters.
o  With the Liberal Party caucus.
o  With the finance minister's office.

We are very pleased that these messages were delivered so effectively by the brokers in attendance and so well received by the various government stakeholders, who listened attentively to all of our concerns.

This event will be held again each year with a view to strengthening links with our MNAs.

If you have any privileged links with political representatives from your region, please let us know by writing us at . We will give you tools so you can contact them whenever it becomes necessary to take concerted action in our dealings with the provincial government.
