In its annual report on financial institutions, the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) includes a comparison of auto insurance premiums charged by various insurers for various insured profiles. The table below shows the comparative analysis for 2015.

The above table clearly shows that each insurer has its own strategy when it comes to managing risk and each favours risk profiles that reflect its own priorities.
The AMF's analysis also shows that consumers should take their time when shopping for insurance so they can find the company that offers them the most for their money. Needless to say, that's a winning argument when it comes to convincing clients to do business with a broker who is positioned to "shop around" and find the best solution in line with their insured profile!
