RCCAQ in action > Members to be consulted on bylaw amendments
In June 2015, the RCCAQ's board mandated Michel Nadeau, executive director of the Institute for Governance of Private and Public Organizations (IGOPP), to carry out an assessment of the RCCAQ's governance system. Over the past few months, a number of meetings were held; in addition, various recommendations were formulated that will require amendments to the RCCAQ's bylaws.
Any modifications to the bylaws must be approved at a special annual meeting of the RCCAQ's members. Such a meeting will be held in conjunction with our annual convention next fall, prior to the annual general meeting.
In order to familiarize our members with the proposed amendments and to allow them to provide feedback if they so desire, we will be undertaking a period of consultations. RCCAQ members will have until September 13 to submit comments.
All RCCAQ members will be receiving a memo in the next few days containing details on the proposed amendments and how comments should be submitted. Comments should be emailed to Diane Ferguson (dferguson@rccaq.com).
Thank you in advance for taking the time to familiarize yourself with the proposed changes and for sharing your comments with us. Your opinion is important to the RCCAQ's board.
