During the reception we will be hosting on May 25 in Quebec City on Parliament Hill, we will have the honour of welcoming, as a special guest, Alain Paquet, former State Minister for Finance (2011-2012) and former member of the National Assembly for Laval-des-Rapides (2003-2012).

Mr. Paquet's presence is particularly relevant since he was in charge of financial market regulation during his time as State Minister for finance. With a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester (New York), Mr. Paquet is an acclaimed economist and currently teaches in the economics department at the University of Quebec at Montreal (UQAM). He is sure to provide an interesting perspective on the ongoing changes affecting the insurance sector.
