In keeping with past years, the Insurance Brokers Association of Canada (IBAC) will be organizing Parliament Hill Day in Ottawa to represent and defend brokers' interests in meetings with MPs. The RCCAQ will be joining the other provincial associations during this event, which is scheduled for May 28-30.
These meetings will provide an opportunity to emphasize the importance of the federal provisions that separate banking operations and sales of insurance products. This issue is crucial to consumer protection efforts. The Bank Act is slated for review in 2019.
