posted on March 28, 2019

The RCCAQ team continues to meet with brokers across Quebec in order to find out more about their concerns. Here is a summary of the most recent stops in the RCCAQ's regional tour!

Courtiers Unis (United Brokers)

On March 20, RCCAQ senior vice-president Sylvain Turgeon met with the brokers gathered under the banner of Courtiers Unis (United Brokers) in Drummondville. The RCCAQ took this opportunity to remind the attendees of the various crucial issues it is currently working on.

Mr. Turgeon brought the participants up to date on regulatory issues in line with Bill 141 and highlighted the RCCAQ's initiatives aimed at supporting brokerage firms in their transition to digital, particularly as regards the 2019-2020 budget. He also asked the attendees to get actively involved with the RCCAQ with a view to strengthening its efforts.

Reaching out to the next generation

On March 21, the RCCAQ took part in Insurance Careers Day at O’Sullivan College in Quebec City. Bertrand Rouault, the RCCAQ's business development director, discussed the employment outlook for the brokerage sector.

Brokers' luncheons

The RCCAQ also attended the latest brokers' luncheons, which were held on March 19 in Joliette, March 20 in Quebec City and March 26 in Sherbrooke. These gatherings provide the RCCAQ with a forum to listen to brokers' concerns.

The RCCAQ team's attendance is essential because these activities provide a snapshot of what's going on in the industry and keep brokers informed of the RCCAQ's initiatives.

Other luncheons are organized by brokers in various locations around the province. Would you like to take part next time? Please feel free to contact the organizers in your region:
