The provincial government's consultation on limitations to brokerage ownership rights has been a major topic of discussion in recent weeks. But the RCCAQ is also working on a number of other issues, including the following:

  • Proposed revision of Bill 188
  • Tax harmonization
  • Bank Act
  • Compensation survey
  • Lobbying the AMF on contingent commissions prior to the upcoming consultation
  • Reviewing Economical's brokerage contract
  • Reviewing Aviva's brokerage contract
  • Reviewing the broker/client contract
  • As well as other ad hoc issues that you bring to our attention, e.g. brokerage management, professional practices, etc.
