The RCCAQ membership renewal period took place in the early summer. The high renewal rate and the new memberships are clear signals of the brokerage community's support for the RCCAQ.

The vast majority of our member firms renewed their trust in the RCCAQ by reconfirming their membership for 2016-17. The board is very pleased that the initiatives undertaken by our organization have gained so much recognition above and beyond our membership. A total of 12 firms decided to join the RCCAQ for the very first time—a sign that the RCCAQ's efforts are recognized in the industry as a whole. Thanks to this solid show of support, the number of brokers represented by the RCCAQ reaches 4,500.

Drawing on this support, the RCCAQ's board and executive intend to pursue their efforts in 2016-17 with vigour and determination. The proposed amendments to Bill 188, in particular, will continue to require the RCCAQ's full attention if we wish to convince the largest possible number of stakeholders of the merits of our positions.
