For many years the RCCAQ has been proudly offering a wide range of training courses to meet the needs of damage insurance brokers. In 2016-2017, the team responsible for this service once again surpassed itself in helping industry professionals advance their careers. Report on the achievements and new developments that reaffirmed the distinctiveness of the RCCAQ’s training activities.

Client service that stands out

When Director of Operations Catherine Rioux is asked what makes her especially proud of the RCCAQ’s training activities, which she had a hand in developing, she is quick to point out the strengths of the training team: “We really work in the best interests of the brokers. Wherever possible, we accommodate our members in order to meet their needs. Our service, our support and the quality of our training programs are what make us successful!”

2016-2017
RCCAQ training in numbers:

Broker 101-102: 44 preparatory courses given

Web-based and asynchronous training: more than 250 participants

On-site training: more than 1,350 participants

Client service is truly at the heart of RCCAQ training activities. Member Services and Training Coordinator Charlotte Leyre is particularly dedicated to supporting clients at every step, from the purchase of training courses to the awarding of certificates. In an effort to provide a multiplatform client experience, Charlotte now responds online directly (through LiveChat) to questions asked by clients browsing in the Training and Members sections of the website.

On-site training in high demand

The demand for this service has increased by 83%. The many benefits of on-site training (low group rates, free mailings, service tailored to schedules and constraints) are the driving force behind this service and have confirmed how necessary it is for managers and brokers concerned with saving time and money.

A constellation of experts

In 2016, the RCCAQ, highly committed to its goal of enabling brokers to learn from the best experts in the industry, welcomed a new addition to its team of consultants: Marie-Josée Tessier, a manager with nearly 25 years of human resources experience. She joins the many highly qualified trainers and consultants who have already worked with the RCCAQ for many years. “We work with professionals who have a firmly established reputation,” Catherine Rioux stresses. “Our team ensures that brokers benefit from the expertise of recognized professionals while providing access to products with outstanding value for money.”

A renewed partnership with the IADQ

In 2016, the Institut d’assurance de dommages du Québec (IADQ) and the RCCAQ joined forces to offer a pre-recorded training program on the Web. The Web page displaying this offer was redone in April 2017 to provide an enhanced user experience. In addition, the RCCAQ team provides firms with assistance in the process of enrolling their employees.

A customized offer that brokers will not find anywhere else!
