The RCCAQ team was greatly saddened to learn of the death of François Houle, CIP, CRM, who served as director of the Quebec Damage Insurance Institute (IADQ). Through his expertise, professionalism and dynamic personality, Mr. Houle strongly contributed to the advancement of the industry.

Patrick Bouchard, RCCAQ chair, has excellent memories of Mr. Houle: "I had the chance to work with François as an administrator at the IADQ. I will always remember his good cheer, his professionalism and his sense of humour." Mr. Bouchard also emphasized Mr. Houle's major contributions in the area of training: "Mr. Houle was an excellent ambassador for our industry among young people, and his talents as a teacher were recognized by his peers. He was also widely sought out for his technical knowledge. Working with him was easy. Performance was a mission for him."

Guy Parent, RCCAQ general manager, said he was grieving the loss of a man who had served as a mentor for many people: “The RCCAQ has lost a good friend. We developed a unique alliance with the IADQ, and it was thanks to François that we became training partners. Personally speaking, François was my first mentor in the insurance industry. My thoughts go out to his wife and family.”

The RCCAQ team would like to extend its sincere condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Mr. Houle.
