Technosphere > RCCAQ adopts CSIO's eDelivery solution
The RCCAQ recently approved the eDelivery solution, which makes it possible to send consumers electronic versions of their personal policy/business documents and motor vehicle liability insurance cards.
"It is exciting to see a solution that provides a simple and efficient way to provide consumers with digital policy documents and auto liability insurance cards. I'm sure that brokers in Quebec will quickly adopt this new technology," said RCCAQ chair Christopher Johnson. "We have seen how appreciative consumers are when they realize they can receive their policy documents digitally. The entire industry stands to benefit from the adoption of paperless solutions. In that regard, CSIO's eDelivery solution makes perfect sense."
The eDelivery platform will be offered free of charge to CSIO members. It was developed by the CSIO in collaboration with brokers and insurers, including RSA Canada, Northbridge Insurance and Gore Mutual.
"The RCCAQ's support for the eDelivery solution is a major step forward. Its members will certainly benefit from the electronic delivery of policy documents," said Catherine Smola, CSIO president and CEO. "Thanks to eDelivery, brokers can email consumers their temporary liability cards, for example, which consumers will no doubt appreciate."
It is now up to the AMF to finalize the regulations governing this new solution. As soon as that step has been taken, the CSIO will be issuing invitations to a webinar providing information on how the platform works, including a question period. Additional information will be provided in our upcoming communications.
