Bill 188: RCCAQ welcomes Carlos J. Leitão's announcement

The RCCAQ welcomes this week's announcement by Quebec's finance minister, Carlos J. Leitão, concerning the decision to bring regulatory powers back under the auspices of a single organization.
After submitting a position paper in September 2015, we took action on multiple fronts with the provincial government with a view to demonstrating the need to consolidate and streamline oversight functions within one organization. Our goal is to eliminate potential confusion, not only for brokers but also for the general public.
We will be continuing our efforts in this regard and will keep you informed about any developments concerning the issues surrounding Bill 188.
