Training, management & co > 2021 convention: earn PDUs at the same time!
In conjunction with the RCCAQ's 48th annual convention, which will be held on November 24-25 under the theme of "Digital transformation, by brokers and for brokers", two accredited training activities will be available for participants wishing to hone their knowledge and acquire a few PDUs (professional development units) at the same time.
Opening presentation — November 24 (9:30-10:30 AM)
Given by Nectarios Economakis, the opening presentation, entitled "The digital transformation: essential for your company", will provide information on how to embrace the digital transformation within your organization. Certified brokers who complete this one-hour training activity will obtain one (1) PDU in the area of administration.
Who is Nectarios Economakis?
Nectarios Economakis is a partner and co-founder of PRN, a company that helps organizations to align their corporate and digital strategies. Back in 2011, he was the #1 employee in charge of business development at Google's Montreal office. In addition to being a board member of the IAB Canada Committee (Interactive Advertising Bureau), he holds an MBA from Concordia University's John Molson School of Management.
HR panel – November 24 (1:30-2:30 PM)
Moderated by Karima Brikh, the HR panel will discuss "Corporate social media: risks and benefits". The other two panelists—Jannick Desforges, director of the corporate affairs, ethics and compliance department at the Chamber of Damage Insurance (CHAD), and Catherine Rioux, president of Rioux HR Consultants—will attempt to make insurance professionals more aware of the fact that social media use comes with its share of responsibilities, particularly in business contexts. From a legal and HR perspective, they will address the responsibilities associated with social media use, whether for business purposes, networking, prospecting, communications or promoting organizational activities. Certified brokers who complete this one-hour training activity will obtain one (1) PDU in the area of administration.
