Prevention and cybersecurity awareness – October 5, 1:30PM-3:30PM

Presented by Marc Lebrun, one of the team's new trainers and an information security advisor at Groupe CyberSwat, this session will shed light on the basics of cybersecurity so participants can reduce the risk of falling victim to data piracy or phishing attempts. Other topics will include our false sense of security, along with lurking threats and the potential costs of related incidents.

Note taking: training module for certified representatives (101) – October 6, 1:00PM-2:00PM

This module is focused on practical advice! The main goal is to raise awareness of the importance of taking proper notes during conversations with clients. Participants will learn to recognize important details of these conversations while developing the habits, attitudes and skills associated with best practices, in compliance with the requirements set out in various laws, as well as in brokers' code of ethics. In addition to acquiring best practices, participants will come away with a stronger appreciation of the importance of note taking in client file maintenance.

Introduction to business continuity plans – October 14, 1:30PM-2:30PM

This 2021-2022 training activity is geared towards participants who are seeking practical knowledge about the specific detailed contents of business continuity plans (BCPs), ranging from identifying various stakeholders' roles and responsibilities to creating intervention committees and using decision tables.

Note taking: training module for insurance representatives (202) – October 19, 1:00PM-2:00PM

This brand-new activity is designed to give participants practical hints about professional record keeping. Emphasis will be placed on identifying situations involving ethical misconduct and avoiding various types of negligence. The goal is to raise insurance representatives' level of professionalism in all aspects of client interactions. Participants will develop habits, attitudes and skills associated with best practices, in compliance with the requirements set out in various laws and their professional code of ethics. Chatbot: learning and training tool – October 26, 9:00AM-11:00AM

Have you heard about the new chatbot? No? Well then, sign up today! Come and discover this AI-based technology: by means of natural language processing, this "conversational agent" enables brokers to ask questions in real time about insurance-related content. The goals are quite straightforward: to automate procedures and processes, to save time and to improve access to information. Developing this project in the insurance brokerage sector was made possible thanks to a collaborative initiative involving the RCCAQ and insurtech firm ProNavigator, with financial support from Quebec's French language office (OQLF). This activity will focus on:

  • Defining artificial intelligence (AI).
  • Issues underlying the project.
  • Chatbot tool (background and demonstration).
  • Key benefits of this technology.

Business cybersecurity and cyber-risk insurance – October 26, 1:30PM-4:30PM

Participants will learn about the basics of business cybersecurity and how cyber-risk insurance can play a role in a company's risk management strategy. In addition to providing a historical overview of this insurance product, this activity will shed light on the various aspects of cyber-risk insurance. Participants will learn how to identify clients who might be interested in this type of coverage.

The instructor will be Marc Lebrun of Groupe CyberSwat, a specialized cybersecurity firm. Participants will earn three (3) PDUs in the area of insurance techniques. Reserve your spot today!
