The Broker 101 and Broker 102 courses are designed to help individuals wishing to become a broker to prepare for the exams administered by the Autorité des marchés financiers (AMF) with a view to obtaining their individual or commercial insurance permit.

Organized by RCCAQ Training, both courses are available on a 100% dedicated platform, where you will find the following resources:

  • presentation by the instructor.
  • presentation explaining the courses.
  • A PowerPoint presentation accompanying the modules.
  • A variety of exercises.
  • A description of each module and the various topics addressed.

To help the participants get ready for the exams, the following resources are also available on the platform:

 Each course is divided into three sections, as shown in the following table:

Legal aspects

This section includes 15 modules of approximately 1 hour each.


Automobile insurance

This section includes 25 modules of approximately 1 hour each.

 

 Home insurance

This section includes 25 modules of approximately 1 hour each.

 

Legal aspects

This section includes 15 modules of approximately 1 hour each.


Automobile insurance

This section includes 25 modules of approximately 1 hour each.

 

 Property and commercial civil liability Insurance

This section includes 17 modules ranging from 30 minutes to 4 hours each.

 

Please note that in addition to listening to the various modules in each section, participants must read the AMF manuals for each section concurrently in order to complete their preparation.

Specifics

Providing participants with full autonomy in terms of pace and timing, these courses are:

  • Offered online exclusively in asynchronous mode (flexible pace/schedule) and may be viewed by participants during a period of 90 days.
  • Highly flexible, so participants can sign up whenever they like.
  • Taught by outstanding instructors who have gained recognition in the insurance industry.
  • Rigorously grounded to ensure successful completion.

Course participants also have access to coaching sessions with the instructor.

Please also note that the success rate for these two courses is 85-90%, depending on the year.
