New dates for online E&O/cybersecurity training

In light of the popularity of certain activities, we've added new online training dates!

Error & Omissions Webinar – May 25 from 1:30-4:30 PM

The general objective of this webinar is to raise awareness of potential professional liability lawsuits. In addition to examining the Act respecting distribution of financial products and services and how it is applied, participants will focus on compliance with the Code of Ethics.

Here are some of the specific objectives:

  • Provide information on practical and concrete techniques to prevent or reduce the number of errors and omissions claims.
  • Raise awareness of the regulatory framework (Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services, Code of Ethics, etc.) and new claims trends involving brokerage firms and brokers.
  • Provide all brokerage personnel with information on available tools and resources with a view to limiting the number of E&O claims. Encourage participants to reflect on their work methods.

Business cybersecurity and cyber-risk insurance – June 2 from 9:00 AM-noon

This training activity covers the foundations of business cybersecurity and how cyber-risk insurance can play a key role in a company's risk management strategy. A brief outline will be given of the history of this insurance product.

Participants will also learn about the specifics of cyber-risk insurance, so they will have everything they need to identify which clients are most likely to be interested in this type of coverage. The instructor will be Jean-Philippe Racine of Cyberswat, a cybersecurity firm.
