Once again this year, the RCCAQ is reminding its members to update their designated representative lists in the runup to the board elections and the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled for November 3. An email in this regard was sent out to all brokerage owners on August 16.
As you may know, individuals are designated by each brokerage to represent it and vote on its behalf at the AGM. They also receive official communications regarding notices of election.
All brokerage owners or managers must update their designated representative lists not only to ensure good governance but also to ensure that their firm’s voice is heard. Each designated representative has all the rights and obligations of an RCCAQ member.

Please note that under the RCCAQ’s bylaws, the number of representatives assigned to each firm or independent company depends on the number of brokers associated with that firm or company.

* The number of representatives per firm/company was established by the Autorité des marchés financiers on March 1, 2022. This number automatically appears in the member profile based on the annual dues amount.
