RCCAQ Training has a variety of training sessions scheduled so you can complete your PDUs and fulfil your obligations before CHAD’s grace period ends on March 31.

 

Introduction to business continuity plans (BCPs) – March 3, 1:30-2:30 pm

This training activity will be especially beneficial if you are seeking practical knowledge of BCPs, with lots of specific and detailed content, including identifying stakeholder roles and responsibilities, creating intervention committees and using decision checklists.

Incident prevention and cybersecurity awareness – March 8, 1:30-3:30 pm

Run by Marc Lebrun of CyberSwat Group, this training activity will broaden participants’ understanding of basic cybersecurity issues with an eye to reducing the risks of falling victim to IT piracy and phishing. The session will address false sentiments of security, lurking threats and potential costs of incidents.

Notetaking 101 – March 10, 10:30-11:30 pm

Upon completion of this training activity, participants will have a better practical understanding of notetaking and how important it is in connection with client files. The goal is to raise awareness of the need to jot down conversations and important details. Participants will also develop habits, attitudes and aptitudes in line with best practices, including compliance with various legal and ethical obligations. Click here to sign up.

The art of delegating – March 15, 9:00-10:00 am

This brand-new 90-minute training activity is run by the Soluflex team. Participants will earn 1.5 PDUs in the area of administration. The session will be geared towards insurance brokerage managers. The goals include:

  • Understanding the impact of a good HR strategy on managers’ quality of life.
  • Understanding the four levels of responsibility and the importance of delegating.
  • Understanding related obstacles and how to overcome them.
  • Learning how to use a delegation checklist.

Putting together a BCP – March 17, 10:00-11:00 am

The instructor for this one-hour training activity will be Marc Nadeau, who will strive to give participants the knowledge they need to put together a useful and effective business continuity plan (BCP) for their company.

Operating losses: reviewing standard coverage and analyzing two forms for real losses – March 22, 1:30-4:30 pm

This training activity is of our most popular and is geared towards certified commercial insurance professionals. Participants will analyze basic concepts and the main forms in use. There will also be an opportunity to review the forms used for real losses. Participants will analyze two distinct products as they explore the market approaches for this type of coverage.

The three-hour session will be run by Lucien Bergeron. Participants will earn 3 PDUs in the area of insurance techniques. Sign up today!

 

Notetaking 202 – March 24, 1:00-2:00 pm

Participants will acquire practical knowledge of professional recordkeeping. They will also be better able to avoid potential cases of negligence by identifying situations that could lead to ethical violations. The professionalism of insurance representatives will be enhanced, enabling them to take better care of their clients. Participants will also develop habits, attitudes and aptitudes in line with best practices, including compliance with various legal and ethical obligations.
