RCCAQ training activities in February!

affiché le 21 janvier 2021

As 2021 begins, RCCAQ Training is offering three courses so you can start your second "compliance year" on the right note. The goal is to help you meet your professional development requirements.

Operating losses: review of standard coverage and analysis of two Actual Loss Sustained forms February 3 (1:30-4:30 PM)

The training activity "Operating losses: review of standard coverage and analysis of two Actual Loss Sustained forms" is one of our most popular! Participants will get a chance to analyze fundamental concepts and the main official forms in use, including Actual Loss Sustained forms. Two different products will be looked at with a view to explaining the market approaches found with this type of coverage. The session is geared towards brokers who work in commercial insurance.

This three-hour activity will be presented by Lucien Bergeron on February 3 (1:30 PM to 4:30 PM). Participants will receive 3 PDUs (insurance techniques). Sign up today!

Condo insurance changes – February 18 (9:00 AM-noon)

Presented by Nathalie Munik, this activity will give participants an opportunity to broaden their general knowledge of the changes affecting condo insurance in the wake of the adoption of Bill 141 and amendments to Quebec's Civil Code.

Participants will be asked to reflect on the impact of these changes and will emerge with a clearer understanding of the interrelationship between "syndicat" and "occupant" insurance, thus enabling them to advise and inform policy holders more effectively.

This session will be held on February 18 from 9:00 AM to noon; participants will receive 3 PDUs (insurance techniques). A few spots are still available! Please click here to sign up today.

Chatbot: learning/training tool – February 23 (9-11 AM)

Are you familiar with chatbots? These "conversation agents" (a form of artificial intelligence) use natural language processing to enable brokers to ask questions in real time on insurance content. This technology is designed to automate work procedures, thus saving time and improving access to information. This initiative involving brokerages stems from a collaboration between the RCCAQ and ProNavigator, an insurtech company, and was made possible with the financial support of Quebec's French language office (OQLF).

If you are curious and would like to find out more about this handy tool and how it could be used within your firm (and perhaps facilitate your day-to-day operations), please join Bertrand Rouault, the RCCAQ's business development head, on February 23 (9-11:00 AM).

This activity is worth 2 PDUs (insurance techniques). Topics will include:

  • What is artificial intelligence?
  • The underlying project development issue
  • What is a chatbot?
  • The benefits of this technology
  • A chatbot demonstration

Be sure to sign up today: this session is free for RCCAQ members!
