Éric Manseau is an expert in financial product/service distribution, as well as a skilled strategist, golf enthusiast and family man. Above all, he is seeking to innovate in terms of client experience while rallying all Quebec brokers around the RCCAQ's mission. Known for his determination, he wants to work for and with the membership to drive the success of individual firms and the entire sector. Here is a profile of Éric Manseau, the RCCAQ's new executive director.
A high regard for entrepreneurs
Throughout his career, Mr. Manseau has developed a high regard for the many entrepreneurs to whom he has given a helping hand, and he is looking forward to working with them: "All brokers have something important in common: they're born entrepreneurs. I'm very proud to take the reins of a professional association dedicated to giving them a voice and allowing them to develop the framework in which their firms will be able to grow."
With a bachelor's degree in political science from Laval University and a master's in organizational analysis and development from Quebec's National School of Public Administration (ENAP), Mr. Manseau worked in the consulting and financial services fields for over 25 years. One thing that has impressed him in his career is the no-nonsense style of the entrepreneurs he has worked with: "They're inspiring and they're not afraid to give it their all. They're devoted to their clients and they're willing to take on big challenges," he notes.
Mobilization and adaptability: key success factors
Mr. Manseau is convinced that the brokerage distribution system deserves a major place in the market. As a change agent, he welcomes technological advances for the challenges and opportunities they bring, even though they may end up transforming the context in which brokers have to operate. Drawing on his listening/analytical skills and strategic organizational vision, he has carried out a number of client experience projects. He hopes that the RCCAQ will benefit by emphasizing these same skills, which will prove useful to brokers as they continue to incorporate client experience strategies within their business.
Known as a team player, Mr. Manseau sees future success as hinging on brokers' ability to come together while adapting to change: "Our members, whether today or in the future, are the main reason we're here. We will be pursuing our efforts on their behalf and with their collaboration. Working together, we will go even further."
