COVID-19 : informations > COVID-19: workplace adjustments
In view of the steadily dropping number of COVID-19 cases and the recent good news announced by the Quebec government, the provincial occupational health and safety commission (Commission des normes, de l’équité, de la santé et de la sécurité du travail/CNESST) is also moving towards a relaxation of its workplace health measures.
In its March 2 press release, the CNESST made a number of important clarifications regarding using (and no longer using) high-quality masks in the workplace, as well as regarding social distancing rules.
Effective Monday, March 7, the requirement to maintain at least a two-metre distance between individuals in the workplace will be reduced to one metre.
However, if the new one-metre limit cannot be maintained, mask wearing will be compulsory for the time being.
As of mid-April 2022, additional health measures will be eased, including the compulsory mask requirement.
