Wage subsidies are among the solutions available to facilitate new staff hiring by Quebec companies. For further information or to identify which specific subsidies you may be entitled to (depending on your firm's situation), feel free to contact your local employment centre (CLE). The employees there offer a range of useful business services, including information on HR and hiring strategies. They can also update you on Quebec's 1% law (employee training requirements).

Ongoing discussions with the MTESS

High-level discussions are ongoing with the MTESS regarding the labour shortage. The goal is to find solutions that will facilitate brokerages' efforts to recruit new resources.

Back during the pre-budget consultations, the RCCAQ lobbied the government with a view to raising awareness of the labour issues we face. Since the latest online edition of Parliament Hill Day, we have held further discussions with representatives of the MTESS and the minister's office.
