We are pleased to announce the appointment of Bertrand Rouault as the RCCAQ's new business development director. Mr. Rouault will be playing an active role in recruiting new brokerage firms, in addition to promoting the RCCAQ's range of initiatives benefiting brokers. He will also be in charge of the Training Department, where he will continue to develop the course offer in light of the challenges and changes affecting the industry, particularly as regards recruiting the next generation of brokers and technology issues.

Mr. Rouault has worked in the insurance industry for nearly 20 years, including positions with Axa Canada Tech, Bell Canada (Insurance Division), Groupe Ultima, April Special Risks and April Marine Canada. His multi-disciplinary experience, passion for the brokerage sector and in-depth expertise are sure to be major assets for the RCCAQ.

Mr. Rouault will be taking up his new duties on October 1. You will have an opportunity to meet him in person on November 7-8 at the RCCAQ's convention, which will be held at the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth Hotel in Montreal.
