According to recent media reports, nine out of 10 companies have fallen victim to cyber-attacks. This statistic reflects a growing problem.
Jean-Philippe Racine, president of CyberSwat Group, is sounding the alarm: "Cyber-risks are having more and more of an impact on companies, which should take steps to protect themselves. Consider Target, for example: it's still paying the price of the cyber-attack it suffered in 2013, with damages estimated at over $300 million!"
With those concerns in mind, RCCAQ is offering training in the areas of corporate cyber-security and cyber-risk insurance in order to provide brokers with useful tools. Business insurance brokers and company managers stand to gain a better understanding of the fundamentals of cyber-security.
