Fall is just around the corner and brings various important issues with it. The RCCAQ remains committed to defending brokers' interests. Major initiatives include Bill 188, the 2015 convention and our training activities.

Here is an overview of the main issues we are dealing with:

  • Bill 188 (An Act respecting the distribution of financial products and services): We are pleased to note that the government has taken up the issues of online sales, distribution without insurance representatives and the dual regulatory system (AMF/CHAD). We will be playing an active role in the consultation process launched by Quebec's finance ministry, most notably by submitting abrief in late September. We will be staying on top of this issue in order to protect your rights and to ensure that consumers remain well informed.
  • 2015 convention: This year, the RCCAQ's convention will focus on ways to ensure the future viability of brokerage firms. Registration is now open.
  • Training activities: the RCCAQ's training program is expanding to ensure that the activities meet your real needs. The list of options is available on the RCCAQ's website.

Please demonstrate your commitment! Let us know what issues are of concern to you and what steps you are willing to take.

In this regard, please email us at communications@rccaq.com.
