A high-impact letter

Kathleen Ann Rake's recent letter regarding the survey sent out by Quebec's Chamber of Damage Insurance (CHAD) certainly did not go unnoticed. Indeed, it sparked numerous reactions among RCCAQ members who had also expressed concerns about the survey's contents. Ms. Rake's comments, which reflected her discomfort upon reading CHAD's questions, were also quoted in the Journal de l'assurance.

Here is an excerpt:

What, then, are we to think of CHAD's survey, which among other things asks us to choose between it and the AMF as regulatory bodies and to evaluate their knowledge of our professional practices? It appears that an attempt is being made to discredit one organization over another. Paradoxically, if we were asked to rank two different insurance representatives in the same way, we would be violating our code of professional ethics! [...] As an insurance broker, it all feels like a trap. I get the feeling I'm being used to serve someone else's interests and not our own.
