RCCAQ in action > RCCAQ's momentum
Would you like to help us build on the momentum we've developed together? Will you be there to respond to our calls for action? Or would you simply like to know how you can support the RCCAQ when the time comes? Here are 7 practical steps you can take.
Familiarize yourself with the RCCAQ's issues of concern
The issues threatening the brokerage sector's future viability (in other words, your job!) are very real. In order to discuss these issues effectively, be sure to master the related information. And be sure to read our communications on a regular basis!
Show your clients how they are better protected with you
You're the expert and people should know that! Tell your clients that you shop around for the best coverage for them. Tell them that you're striving to save them both time and money!
Know how to get in touch with your provincial MNA
Make sure your address book contains your MNA's contact information and ask to meet with him or her from time to time.
Meet with your local mayor and elected municipal officials
Political networking starts at the municipal level. As part of their duties, elected officials (aldermen, etc.) tend to work more closely with local residents. The entire brokerage sector could benefit if you get involved!
Take part in Chamber of Commerce activities
To learn more about certain issues, be sure to sign up for relevant activities organized by your local Chamber of Commerce. If any political representatives are present, you could mention matters of importance to you as an RCCAQ member.
Get involved in local community events
Pick a local festival or event and take the opportunity to discuss issues of importance to you as an RCCAQ member.
Cultivate your team spirit
Demonstrate your support for the RCCAQ! If we ask you to sign a petition, send a letter to your MNA or MP or take other action requiring group participation, please heed our call!
If you've been taking part in any political activities lately, please email us
