AMF exams resume

posted on July 2, 2020

On June 29, Quebec's Autorité des marché financiers (AMF) announced on its website that its exam sessions, which were suspended back in March to curb the spread of COVID-19, will be resuming in July in both Montreal and Quebec City.

To facilitate that process while adhering to the provincial government's health guidelines, the AMF drew up temporary calendars for each area of practice and temporarily moved the exam sessions to different locations. For damage insurance (P&C), the exam information is as follows:

  • Montreal: CEGEP Old Montreal, Place Dupuis campus
  • Quebec City: CEGEP Lévis-Lauzon

Candidates already waiting to take the AMF exam will receive an official notice including full details. New candidates may register beginning on July 2 by following the standard procedure.

Despite the resumption of its exams, the AMF pointed out that the recently announced temporary measure, under which candidates may complete the probationary period before actually passing the exams, will remain in effect for the next few weeks. That way, the AMF hopes to make up for the delays caused by suspending the exams.
