Extreme weather: Intact Insurance and the University of Waterloo join forces

The Globe & Mail reported on Monday (Nov. 30) that the management of Intact Assurance and a research team from the University of Waterloo will be meeting in Toronto this week to launch the Intact Centre for Climate Adaptation (ICCA). The ICCA will conduct research and propose concrete measures to reduce the risks posed by climate change and extreme weather conditions. Intact Insurance is also making a number of adjustments to its operating model in order to manage the growing number of violent storms.
