Latest News > RCCAQ membership: brokers are demonstrating their commitment
Insurance firms are demonstrating their commitment to the industry by maintaining their RCCAQ membership. The RCCAQ is pleased to note that its members are fully aware of how much we are doing to safeguard brokers' interests.
Strength in numbers
To date, more firms have renewed their membership compared with the same date last year. "Many brokers know all too well that the future of the brokerage sector is at stake and that only strength in numbers will enable the RCCAQ to do what needs to be done to defend our industry," said RCCAQ chair Kathleen Ann Rake.
Renewal and prosperity
Bill 188 may well end up changing brokers' practices. The provincial government's consultation concerning limitations on ownership rights could also have a direct impact on brokerage firms. Furthermore, Canada's Bank Act will be reviewed in 2019. In this regard, Guy Parent is calling on all brokers to take action: "As we seek to address these issues, please get involved in shaping your future!"
